Bartlett Aquatic Center

Survey says…
Based on a 2007 survey, the number-one request among Bartlett residents was to expand and improve an aging aquatic facility to keep up with the community’s growing population. Voters strongly supported the Bartlett Park District’s request to upgrade the aquatic center.

‘A New Way to Play'
The Bartlett Aquatic Center was designed to appeal to a broader user base than is accommodated by the neighboring Splash Central Indoor Aquatic Center. Now operating under the slogan “A New Way to Play,” features were added to attract not only young children, but the harder-to-reach teen market. As part of this exciting expansion, the park district received approval from the Illinois Department of Public Health for the state’s first zipline into water. Swimmers soar off the 10-foot-high platform, zip down the cable ride and effortlessly drop into the water to cool off.

Programming appeal
The aquatic center’s design allows for a variety of outdoor programming, including a parent/tot playgroup and a parent/tot workout; Aquafit, lazy river walking and Fluid Running® classes; a lazy river game called Water Ball; and lifeguard and water safety instruction.
