Cheyenne Municipal Pool Renovation & Expansion

Cheyenne, Wyoming

The City of Cheyenne hired Design Architect BRS and Architect of Record Noel Griffith Jr. & Associates to bring new life to an aging municipal pool. The project consists of a total renovation of the existing pool structure, lobby, locker rooms and support spaces. The addition includes a new 2,700-sq.-ft. leisure pool with play structure, lazy river, multipurpose tank, and 16-ft. double waterslide tower.

Cost: $6.7 million
SqFt: Renovation: 15,850 sq. ft. + Addition: 7,480 sq. ft. = Total: 23,330 sq. ft.

Excelsior Springs Community Center & Recreation Complex Study

Excelsior Springs, Missouri

The City of Excelsior Springs commissioned the design team of BRS and Architect of Record SFS Architecture to create their new Community Center and Recreation Complex. The center will include a leisure pool, lazy river, indoor waterslide, weights and fitness area, walk/jog track, gymnastics room, senior center, and possible gymnasium and lap pool.

Cost: $18.4 Million
SqFt: 49,000 sq. ft.

Morenci Community Center

Morenci, Arizona

The new Morenci Community Center incorporates an outdoor lap pool, indoor leisure/recreational pool, gymnasium, running track, weights and fitness, group fitness, racquetball, climbing wall, child watch, indoor play, party rooms, and a Starbucks coffee shop. The facility anchors the newly redeveloped town center, which includes the existing theater, library, Morenci Club and new daycare facility (also designed by BRS).

Southlake Community Recreation Center

Southlake, Texas

Sited in Bicentennial Park, the Southlake Community Recreation Center will include a senior center, public meeting spaces, recreation center, aquatic center, administrative office space and building support areas. Southlake City Council has approved a 22,400-sq.-ft. senior community center, outdoor amphitheater and pedestrian bridge (Phase 1) and schematic design for an 81,600-sq.-ft. recreation center (Phase 2).

Cost: Phase 1 Senior Community Center: $10 Million + Phase 2 Recreation Center: $29 Million = Total: $39 Million (estimated)
SqFt: Phase 1 Senior Community Center: 22,400 sq. ft. + Phase 2 Recreation Center: 81,600 sq. ft. = Total: 104,000 sq. ft.
