Blue Springs Community Center Feasibility Study

Blue Springs, Missouri

In 2013, the team of BRS, SFS Architecture, Water Technology and Confluence Landscape prepared a feasibility study for a new community center for the City of Blue Springs, Missouri. The $35 million, 85,000-square-foot has been programmed to include a large gymnasium, leisure pool with recreational features, lap and therapy pools, weights and fitness equipment, group exercise and spinning studios, community rooms and more.

Heather Gardens Community Center Addition & Renovation

Aurora, Colorado

An age-qualified community for active, independent adults, Heather Gardens boasts its own metropolitan district, which owns and operates a golf course, community center, recreation facilities and maintenance shops. BRS designed an addition and renovation to the existing community center, including a new main lobby, lounge, reception desk, auditoriums, fitness area, pool with deck, locker rooms, saunas, administrative offices, boardroom/conference room, and arts and crafts area, and renovations to the restaurant lobby, banquet hall, bar, kitchen and pro shop.

Sammamish Community & Aquatics Center

Sammamish, Washington

This all-new facility designed by BRS includes a variety of public-use spaces with a fitness area on the upper level, all with views to the park; the remaining fee spaces are located on the lower level with a single control point. Facility parking is in a structured garage built into the hill. The local YMCA will operate the building in partnership with the City of Sammamish.

UCCS Student Health & Wellness Center Addition & Renovation

Colorado Springs, Colorado

The team of BRS and Hughes Group Architects was selected by the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, first for a programming study and subsequently for full design and construction services, for a combined student recreation and wellness center. The building design will bridge the central and north campuses, as well as the city and campus. Renderings by Hughes Group Architects.
