Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex

Cal Poly Pomona will join the roster of 14 CSU campuses that have recreation centers in operation or under construction. Acting on a strong show of support from the university's incoming freshman class, the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex is set to open Fall 2014. The complex is designed to feature a 51-foot rock wall, juice bar, indoor running track, lounge areas, leisure and lap pool, fitness studios and more.

Cal State East Bay Recreation and Wellness Center

California
Described as the last piece to the campus life puzzle, the Recreation & Wellness Center was purposely located at the edge of the academic zone and across the street from student housing, effectively becoming a transitional space between the two. Providing a strong visual identity through the use of strong forms and bold color, the building’s most recognizable exterior element is an aluminum-perforated screen veil devised to minimize direct sunlight, diffuse daylight and maximize vistas to San Francisco Bay. This is both an aesthetic touch and symbolic of the building’s (and campus’) broader mission of sustainability.

Paramount High School Athletic Complex

The multi-purpose 6,000-seat Paramount High School Pirate Stadium features a Field Turf synthetic field, an all-weather, nine-lane urethane track, a lighted score board, press box with elevator, two pole vault pads, a high jump area, and two long jump runways with four sand pits. Anchored by a Field House Building, which includes dedicated team/locker rooms, classrooms, a weight room, wrestling facility, and instrumental room for the marching band, the athletic promenade also serves as a gateway to a new 450-seat baseball complex. The collegiate-level field has 350-foot left and right field lines, a 385-foot center field fence, 37-foot vinyl-coated backstop, fully sub-drained natural turf area to ensure durability and year-round access, concrete dugouts, multiple batting cages, and enclosed bullpens.
