The space near where Travis Tidwell, Auburn’s first All-American after World War II, prepared to play will come to life again this fall at Jordan-Hare Stadium with the opening of the Locker Room Club.

Part of three new premium options on sale next week and debuting in 2024, the Locker Room Club, five permanent field suites and the Hall of Fame Club at Plainsman Park will offer fans new ways to enjoy football gameday on the Plains.

“Another step in the continued enhancements of Jordan-Hare Stadium,” said Rhett Hobart, deputy athletics director for external affairs. “These are a few additional pieces of the puzzle as we seek to continue expanding our premium offerings to make the best environment in college football even better.”

Tigers Unlimited will reach out next week to season ticket holders, based on priority, to share pricing and gauge interest in the new premium options.

Featuring Jordan Hare’s original exposed brick and concrete, the Locker Room Club beneath the bowl in the stadium’s southeast corner will transport fans back to 1949, when Tidwell helped Auburn conclude the season with a 14-13 Iron Bowl victory over Alabama. [Auburn Athletics]

Jackson Public Schools Board of Trustees echoed a similar cadence throughout the Hardy-Hughes athletic complex about JPSD wanting to give back to its student-athletes.

On Friday, the Jackson Public School District held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and officially opened up its new baseball and softball fields.

In 2018, Jackson residents voted for a $65 million bond referendum to improve schools and athletic facilities, of which $5.7 million was put into the development of the new complex.

The $5.7 million dollars spent on the construction saw a project built from the ground up, including natural grass, an irrigation system, batting cages, bullpens, spectator seating, fenced dugouts, scoreboards and field lighting at both fields. [Clarion Ledger]

A Sioux County college is announcing plans to expand its main athletics building.

Northwestern College will break ground for the second phase of renovations to the Bultman Center for Health, Physical Education, and Intercollegiate Athletics at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will be at the site of the building’s expansion, on the southeast corner of the facility.

Estimated to cost more than $6 million, the project will provide new and renovated locker rooms and coaches’ offices, as well as a 140-seat team meeting room, according to Northwestern officials. They tell us that with the addition and subsequent renovations to existing areas, teams will have their own dedicated locker rooms, and needed office spaces will be provided for assistant coaches and graduate assistants.
