Construction has begun on two exciting new Cintas Center gameday hospitality spaces, the Center Court Club and Brew Deck.

Xavier Athletics received updated renderings of the new spaces from MSA Sport. The Center Court Club will include 96 seats and will be the newest premier club experience in Cincinnati. True to its name, the Center Court Club will be directly at mid-court, offering the best vantage point to watch Xavier Basketball along with elite service, theatre-style seats, all-inclusive food, private restrooms and a full bar.

The Brew Deck is an open social gathering area on the concourse-level with open views into the arena with a vast selection of draft and canned beers. The deck will be themed after Schmidt Fieldhouse, Xavier's first on-campus home for Xavier Athletics from 1928-1999, providing some nostalgia for Xavier fans. The deck will include a feature display wall, bar top and drink rail using the original Schmidt Fieldhouse playing floor that was reclaimed prior to closing.  Artsman Sport, a Cincinnati-based company, is handling the fabrication of the custom bar and drink rails.  There are 28 seats on original Schmidt Fieldhouse bleachers with a drink rail that will be available for sale as season tickets. Naming partnership opportunities for the Brew Deck are currently under consideration. [Go Xavier]

The University of Alabama is making progress on its latest phase of the ‘Crimson Standard’, a series of construction projects designed to improve athletic facilities across multiple sports teams within the university.

The latest project is the construction of a massive player facility for the golf team that resembles a massive fraternity house.

The project, which includes a full course on site with the facility, is expected to be completed by the Fall of 2024.

Facilities have been a hot topic among Alabama fanbases for a number of years now with plans for a new basketball arena to replace Coleman Coliseum being repeatedly delayed due to inflation and the economy. [Yellow Hammer]

Mayor Jon Mitchell, Supt. Andrew O’Leary, School Committee Members and City Councilors officially opened the new state-of-the-art turf athletic field at New Bedford High School on Tuesday morning.

The new field is the latest in a long line of recent improvements for New Bedford athletic facilities. Over the past decade, millions of dollars have been invested in NBHS athletics, including a new softball field, new indoor pool, new turf soccer field, and a modern weight room and fitness center (the Bobby Watkins Fitness Center) that rivals those found on college campuses.

Located behind the softball field at the corner of Parker and Liberty streets, the new field is built on the high school’s former tennis complex. Surrounded by ornamental fencing and newly planted trees, the field has a new scoreboard, bleachers, and safety netting, as well as an underground drainage system. [New Bedford]
