Blacklight Volleyball Tournament: we have gotten shoplights and blacklights which we hang from the catwalks in the main gyms (3). We cover over all available light sources and purchased glow volleyballs. The teams wear white shirts so they can see each other and we have a blast playing in the dark for several hours.

Vicky Jaeger, Dir Recreational Sports
Luther College, IA

We had intramural Battleship! Three member teams are formed and are given three small buckets. Each team has a canoe and are turned loose in the pool. The end result is you want your team to sink everyone else's "Battleship" by dumping water into their canoe. You can either bale yours out or dump into the neighboring canoes! Great fun!

Julie , Business Manager
Western Illinois University, IL

Around the Thanksgiving Holiday, try Frozen Turkey Bowling On Ice, if you have an ice arena on campus. Participation can be very high, and you can go through many students at one time on the ice, as you bowl sideways with the ice partitioned. Use regular bowling pins, get the frozen turkeys donated by a grocery store, and give them away to the highest scorer(s).

Seve Ghose, Services Manager
Portland Parks and Recreation, Oregon

InnerTube Water Polo at the University of Virginia. AWESOME! It went over incredibly well. I don't work there any more, but I'm sure if you contacted the department at UVA, they can give you the 411 on the program!

Vicki Stewart, Facility Director
Kenwood Country Club, MD
