If you are comfortable with the skills yourself (which I'm hoping you are) I would just skip the video and show them yourself. I did that a few times with my last class and it worked better because I could interact with the staff, pause to answer questions and "troubleshoot" their what if's. Or just purchase the DVD.

I have not used the website for the LG course, but I have used it for other classes and not had problems. For our LG classes we use the DVD- it's nice to have a backup!

I am having a hard time trying to download the LG course presentation from instructor's corner. Everything seems ok until I play the last section video segment on back boarding. It skips stops and moves around. I have tried downloading it to different devices and from different provider sources. Does anyone have an answer?

We have offered WiFi at our facility and have not had any problems, although not too many people take advantage of it either. They are still watching their children and I don't see it as any different than reading a book or a magazine. edited by waterparklady on 4/12/2013

As an Aquatics Director at a YMCA, we rely on parents to be in the area when their children (under 10) are swimming. I am a firm believer in the Lifeguards and Parents working together to keep the children safe. I would keep WiFi away from the pool if possible...

First thing you should do is to check with the company that resurfaced your tennis courts they should assist you. If they are unable to assist, here is a great resource for tennis court maintenance www.sportmaster.net/maintenance.shtml

Pressure washing works if done properly. Care must be exercised regarding prematurely wearing or damaging the surface.
One acrylic surface manufacturer recently recommended to have indoor courts cleaned with a walk behind steam cleaner (similar to the Stanley Steamer company equipment). Others have recommended to use trisodium phosphate and a soft bristle broom to work on stains on the court.
Before resurfacing courts, many certified tennis court builders include pressure washing the court surfaces in their work scope prior to patching and crack filling.

We had our tennis courts resurfaced a few years back and would like to get them cleaned. I have read allot of conflicting reports on how to clean them. The company that installed them will pressure wash them, but I have read that this is really bad for the courts. I am not sure what others have done and am wondering what the best method for cleaning outdoor tennis courts is?

How to “Cool” Your Hot Pool Deck This Summer
 pdzamstar Posts: 1

Spring is officially upon us and it’s time to start getting the pool ready for its Memorial Day debut. Paint, check. Pressure washer, check. Maintenance work, check. Lifeguards hired, check. New pool feature, whoops. Today, pools are no longer allowed to be just pools. Customers are looking for an aquatic experience. Whether it’s a Wibit Inflatable, Slide, AquaClimb or other feature, your pool needs something to stand out.
After much success in launching the flagship AquaClimb Ascent poolside climbing wall in 2005 and the Krystal clear panel model in 2011 the AquaClimb team wanted to raise the bar on the poolside climbing experience yet again. The difference between the Ascent and Standard Krystal models was the climbing surface being flat versus three-dimensional. According to AquaClimb CEO, Russell Moy “The 3-D surface makes a huge difference greatly enhancing the climbing experience and providing a truer climbing event.”
How to transform the AquaClimb Krystal into an even greater climbing experience similar to the industry leaders Ascent model was the challenge for the AquaClimb team. Teaming with industry experts in plastics, engineering and production, AquaClimb was able to achieve their goal, the NEW Krystal 3D ‘Ice’ Panel. “There is no challenge that ingenuity and drive cannot overcome” according to Mr. Moy.
The AquaClimb Krystal 3-D ‘Ice’ will add a cooling effect to the hottest pool decks. Once you see these panels in person, you will understand why a three dimensional world is so much better than a single plane flat world. Customer input was a key factor in the development of this product. Mr. Moy feels “Providing the products that our customers want is paramount to keeping up with an ever changing industry” Here’s to the launch of the new AquaClimb 3-D Ice poolside-climbing wall for 2013. Every panel looks like it was individually carved from a block of Ice and what a juxtaposition to the hot summer days at the pool side. " " Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

Looking For Locker Room Bench Replacement

We are looking to upgrade the benches in our locker rooms. We currently have wooden bench tops and they look pretty bad even after being refinished not long ago. We are a university recreation center and average any where from 2500 - 3000 people in our facility a day (during the school anyway).
I am looking for a plastic surface replacement that we can attach to our current brackets as they are mounted to the wall below where the lockers stop.
Any suggestions from anyone who has done this or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated as I have been looking around and not found much.
Thanks

Strangest items left in lockers?
 Marlowesparents Posts: 1

While working at a nationally known "party school", custodians regularly found empty alcohol bottles and drug paraphernalia in the lockers and locker rooms. The campus was also in a remote city that is well known for its "green practices" which meant we occasionally encountered this type of disconnect: empty alcohol bottles in the glass and plastic recycling bins in the locker rooms. Members of the student body clearly were ignoring and violating the "dry" campus policy, but were environmentally minded enough to recycle their alcohol bottles. It would make me laugh if it wasn't so sad that they could not separate the need to drink from the need to exercise! edited by Marlowesparents on 3/8/2013
