I'm very interested in owning my own Sports Facility, I have no previous experience other than being a member to a local gym. I would like to know what steps do I need to follow in order to operate and own? Also what resources would I need to keep it running. I will like to focus on all around fitness and specialize with football, basketball, track and soccer training. I would like to make this happen in two to three years. I want a family filled facility that will bring a community together and local athletes to be trained for their next level. I'm not in this field but I do have the passion for health and wellness as well as giving back to the community. Thank you for your time and hope to hear from you.

Volunteer witht he local sports you are interested in training. High schools and colleges to start. Get your name out there and ask them all the questions you have for us. Then you will knoe what your community wants and what they have already out there. Good luck. Alot of business classes would be my start if you are not a grad.

I would recommend that you work with or volunteer with organizations that do similar work. My experience would be that YMCA's would be a good fit as a place to start as most are family oriented facilites or can put you in touch with ones that are. A fitness company, fitness and training gym, and community and family centre can all be very different approaches. Providing more than one of these areas becomes very hard to do, but very rewarding.
