Steve,

We just provided flooring for your new Monterey, CA CHOMP facility - not rubber, it is Taraflex. But, there are lots of rubber floors out there. Reground rubber and solid vulcanized type. Each have their own regimen to use. On the Taraflex you can use the tennis ball or you can use 'Speedball' by Johnson Diversity. But be careful with the Speedball. It has a pH over 12 and will ruin most rubber floors. But perfectly safe on the Taraflex @ CHOMP.
