Proud to say I go to college here... This is Taylor's Silent Night Game, which takes place every year. Once Taylor scores their tenth point the crowd..... well watch and you'll see!
This years 'Silent Night' appeared in many national headlines including: -Sports Illustrated -ESPN's Around the Horn -Duke Basketball's twitter page and many more! edited by bmarsee on 6/1/2011

I love it. One question: Do you think it's the kind of event others could try, or is it considered bad form to steal someone else's tradition? I'm imagining that people would frown on it; it's one thing for the "Sieve!" cheer to sweep college hockey, another for the "Touchdown Jesus" mural to pop up adjacent to every campus horseshoe.

That is a VERY good question!! I work with our college Sports Information Director and I Know he has talked to an ESPN contact about the possibilities of trying it on ESPN U after all the coverage it got this year, but it sounded like there just is not a chance; probably because of Taylor being such a small school (NAIA). When they talked about this on Around the Horn, one of them mentioned a big school should adopt the idea. Personally, I haven't really made up my mind on how I would feel if a bigger school did. I think it would be REALLY cool to see on TV, but I also think it would be even better to see it on TV from where it originated from. It'll be interesting to see what extra media coverage comes in for next years 'Silent Night' and see where it goes from there.
