My non-profit is in the process of building a indoor sports complex that will have 10-12 basketball court, boxing gym, fitness area, community center, and food court. We are having an investors meeting at the end of the month and we need a little help with making sure all of our figures are right. I'm having a hard time finding a company that will handle the interior design and construction that will give me a estimate to present to our investors. We have everything in order as far as programs and running the facility, but we do not want a opportunity like this to slip through our hands so we are making sure we dot our I's and cross our T's. Have you developed a program to determine the size structure you need to house all of your proposed activities? That's one of the first things we do with our clients to help them determine the size of building they need. We could work with you to determine the project parameters and develop the program for your facility. Once you determine the size of your facility, the type of construction to be used, and how you want the building to look, your architect will be able to give you an estimate on how much the physical building and development costs would be. The cost of the facility can vary depending on what level of finishes you want to use. We have worked extensively with our local rec departments and would be glad to assist you in any way. It sounds like what you are looking for is a construction manager at risk. (more than a GC or a norm cm)
