Can anyone provide a recipe for a surfactant to apply to synthetic fiels to release static build up?

What is it laid on? Foam Shockpad? what height is the grass above the sand

I din't know turf has static build up issues. How interesting. We have a long history with ESD floors in the tech world but never thought of it for turf. I can see linebackers shuffling along to build up a charge to litteraly shock the other team. hah

Try using a product like X-99 Super Surfactant. 1 to 2 pints per 100 gals water. Apply minimum of 1 gallon of solution per 1000 square feet of turf. I would start at 1 pint per 100 gals water and see what happens. You can go up to 2 pints if needed. Be careful not to overapply or the surface may become slippery. Good coverage is important.

Liquid fabric softener will work too. Again, don't overapply. Most times a good rain event will eliminate static.

We do synthetic turf maintenance work, www.psfs.us, and have not found static to be a real concern. Not much of a build up and what little there is seems to go away quickly.

If you are using X-99 surfactant for artificial athletic fields consider the concentration ratio, many times we fail to calculate right combination of surfactant and water and that is the main reason behind odd results. If surfactant concentrations reaches a greater pint then we have to look for some other solutions.
