Project Description
Holy Family Memorial Wellness Center was designed to address two separate but interlinked functions medical-based fitness and wellness, and clinical and medical office space. Elements accommodating these functions are paired on the same hospital satellite campus, but at opposite ends of a building mass connected by a generous circulation concourse with floor-to-ceiling external glazing. The inviting concourse contains the majority of the interactive public spaces, seating areas and offices.
Another design strategy was to incorporate a similar palette of colors and textures in both sides of the building, tying the two halves together with the muted colors of a clinical setting, moving toward more vibrant and exciting shades in the fitness and wellness areas.
The exterior was designed to convey one cohesive element. External expression of the connecting circulation space, along with the definition of the singlestory clinic and two-story fitness and wellness center, are keys to the facility’s successful community impact.
