Comerica Park Joins Network of Venues Leveraging CLEAR for Fast, Frictionless Stadium Experience

NEW YORK, JULY 25, 2017 – CLEAR, the identity platform that transforms your biometrics into a universal ID for secure, frictionless access, announced its launch today at Comerica Park in Detroit. Using CLEAR, Detroit Tigers fans can now enter the park at Gate A with just the touch of a finger - providing a fast, frictionless way to enter Comerica Park - allowing them to spend less time in line and more time enjoying the game and everything the park has to offer.

CLEAR is a free benefit for Tigers fans who enroll on-site at Comerica Park. Enrollment takes less than five minutes and members can begin using CLEAR immediately at the ballpark. In addition to Comerica Park, sports fans can speed through security lines with CLEAR at Coors Field in Denver, AmericanAirlines Arena and Marlins Park in Miami, AT&T Park in San Francisco, and Citi Field and Yankee Stadium in New York. For just $15 per month, billed annually, fans can upgrade their account with CLEAR to an all-access membership that allows for use at ballparks and airports where CLEAR is available.

“Detroit is an amazing sports town with a loyal fan base and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with the Tigers,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker. “In addition to expanding the network of venues where CLEAR is available, we are also working on applications for biometrics that extend beyond security to other uses inside the venue that will continue to transform the game day experience.”

“As we continue to identify opportunities to enhance the game day experience, CLEAR provides us with an enhancement whereas patrons can enter Comerica Park in a quicker and convenient manner, without compromising their safety and security,” said Mike Healy, Vice President of Ballpark Operations. “The implementation of CLEAR’s platform speaks to our on-going technological initiatives to provide a world-class entertainment experience for our patrons.”

CLEAR’s growing network of touch points delivers fast, secure and seamless customer experiences at more than 30 airports and sports stadiums around the country. CLEAR launched at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) last fall and has quickly become a popular way for travelers to move seamlessly through airport security. Existing CLEAR members can take advantage of the fan experience at Comerica Park as part of their membership.
