Precor Introduces the New P62 Console

Engaging, Personalized, Proven

Woodinville, WA - February 2017. Precor has added to its already popular touch screen consoles with the P62 - a premium networked fitness console offered at a mid-tier price.  The P62 is available on the Experience™ Series 800 and 700 cardiovascular lines.

The 13” screen has touch screen controls permanently embedded in its surface enabling an optimum 10.5” media viewing experience.  Unlike televisions hanging from the ceiling or mounted on the walls the exerciser’s proximity to the industrial grade, high-definition screen of the P62 provides them with the appropriate angular resolution for a crisp, personalized and optimum viewing experience that they would expect from their television at home.

For about the same price as an LCD console with a personal viewing system, operators can outfit Experience Series 800 and 700 Line cardio equipment with the sleek and compact P62, bringing contemporary design and state-of-the-art technology to their cardio floor to attract exercisers.

The P62 was designed to save operators time, effort and expense. When networked, the P62 receives free automatic software updates and refreshed content without any interaction on the part of the facility operator.  A convenient integrated asset management feature enables access to diagnostics and usage information allowing facilities to perform timely rotations of their cardio equipment to ensure even use.

The P62 shares common software and hardware architecture with the Precor P82, a proven and reliable touch screen console designed to respond to the rigors of a commercial facility.

Precor believes that all fitness facilities should have the choice to offer a networked fitness experience to their exercisers. The P62 console not only offers an affordable price point for facilities to take this step, but also complements a facility that may already own Precor cardio equipment with the P82, P80, P30 or P10 consoles.

Adam Hubbard, Director of Product Management for Precor, comments: “Since launching networked enabled consoles more than 6 years ago, Precor has seen a rapid adoption of this technology by both operators and exercisers. For exercisers, this new console provides the high tech, personalized experience they demand. For operators, the P62 will be another tool for them to connect and engage their members and provide a key vehicle for them to differentiate in a competitive market. Bringing our networked console options into more affordable price points will further this adoption.”
