(MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Dec. 20, 2023) Kahler Slater, an award-winning international architecture, interior design, environmental branding, and strategic advisory services firm, announced the promotion of Adam Bastjan, AIA, LEED AP and Aaron Ebent, AIA, LEED AP BD+C to Design Principal.
With this promotion, Bastjan and Ebent are recognized for their strong leadership within the firm, proven design creativity, and exemplary service to the communities and clients they serve.
As Design Principals, Bastjan and Ebent join the design leadership team that is responsible for establishing, inspiring, and directing the comprehensive development of the firm’s design dialog and culture. They will continue to provide leadership for Kahler Slater’s design staff and contribute to their market’s business and strategic planning.

Bastjan focuses on designing sports, recreation, and wellness projects that enhance the daily lives of those who use them. He joined the firm in 2006 and has served as lead designer on several notable projects such as Cornell College Athletic and Wellness Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison Bakke Center for Recreation + Wellbeing, Ripon College Athletic and Wellness Center, and University of Wisconsin-Madison LaBahn Arena. Bastjan has long contributed to the profession as a professor, most recently in the Kahler Slater Studio. He has been recognized with multiple design awards from a wide range of design and industry organizations.Â
Ebent serves Kahler Slater’s workplace and hospitality markets and has been with the firm since 2006. He is known for his hands-on approach and ability to listen and interpret goals into remarkable designs. He has provided design leadership on prominent projects including Milwaukee’s BMO Tower, 833 East, The Kimpton Journeyman, Renaissance Hotel Mayfair, and Hooper Corporation, as well as several other projects across the country. Ebent has served on AIA design juries and has been recognized for his design leadership earning multiple AIA Design Awards.
