SFIA Releases Top Single Sport Reports

Silver Spring, MD – May 14th, 2015 – The Sports & Fitness Industry Association published the first 25 of their 94 single sport and fitness participation reports today. These reports provide an in-depth analysis & breakdown of participation demographics by specific sport or fitness activity. The reports released today represent the most downloaded reports of 2014 by SFIA members. The total 94 single sport reports continue to make it the largest and most diversified collection of participation studies available to the industry.  

“These reports allow people to drill down into specific sports’ data. The detailed dissection of participation demographics provides key figures that our companies can utilize for their business needs,” said Cameron Jacobs, Manager of Communications and Research, SFIA. “The specific information allows industry professionals to have a better understanding of the participants who purchase their products and provides insight for those looking to expand into new categories.”

Each report tracks a participant’s gender, participation frequency, age breakdown, geographic breakout by region, market size area, income, education level, and cross-sport participation. The first 25 Single Sport Reports are:

The 2015 SFIA Single Sports and Fitness Activity Reports, conducted by Sports Marketing Surveys USA, provide detailed demographic and socioeconomic information. A total of 19,240 online interviews were carried out with a nationwide sample of individuals and households from the US Online Panel of over one million people operated by Synovate/IPSOS. 

The 2015 SFIA Single Sport and Fitness Participation Reports are $99 per report to all current SFIA members and $175 for non-members. More information about these reports can be found at http://sfia.org/research/.
