DURHAM, NC – [Monday, April 13, 2015] – Teamworks, a leading provider of collaboration and communication software for athletics organizations, announces a licensing agreement with the athletics program at The University of Texas.  Joining other NCAA Division I athletics programs in adopting the software, Teamworks allows centralization of Texas Athletics staff and varsity team communication and information.  Teamworks software was first utilized by Texas Football in 2012 and by the men’s and women’s basketball programs in 2013.

“With 20 varsity teams, more than 500 student-athletes, and 330-plus employees, organized communication is of the utmost importance to Texas Athletics,” said Mike Bos, Associate Athletics Director for Information Technology. “Teamworks has had a positive impact upon three of our largest and most complex programs.  We have been pleased to observe each team embrace the platform and look forward to employing the software throughout Texas Athletics.”

Teamworks also offers academic advisors, sports medicine personnel, and strength and conditioning coaches a way to synthesize team and player schedules, access secure documents and track performance data.  Through its messaging module, Teamworks enables coaches and staff to send text, email, voice or push notifications for schedule changes, wake-up calls and appointment reminders.  The management solutions will also extend to Texas’ event operations-facilities staff.

Earlier this year, Teamworks was announced as the official team collaboration software provider to the inaugural College Football Playoff.  Participating teams, bowl staff and the College Football Playoff staff securely accessed important documents, completed required forms, shared key contact information and organized schedules through the mobile application.  More than 60 Football Bowl Subdivision programs already use Teamworks.  Teamworks’ other NCAA Division I athletic department-wide partnerships include Duke University, Purdue University, the University of Virginia and the University of Mississippi.

“We are excited to be associated with an athletics department of the caliber of Texas Athletics,” said Teamworks Founder and President, Zach Maurides.  â€śTeamworks is proud to provide a platform to improve efficiency throughout the entire athletic department.”
