In a first step toward selling seats in their planned new stadium, the Falcons have begun accepting refundable $100 deposits for spots on a waiting list.

The list is for people who aren't current Falcons season-ticket holders. According to the Falcons, wait-listed fans will be contacted about buying season tickets in the new stadium after all season-ticket holders in the Georgia Dome have an opportunity to select their seats in the new venue.

The $1.2 billion retractable-roof stadium, to be built immediately south of the Dome, is slated to open in 2017.

The Falcons have not determined when their sales consultants will begin meeting with current season-ticket holders about the seat-relocation process. The team also has not announced prices for season tickets in the new stadium or for the personal seat licenses that will be required to buy them.

For more information on the waiting list, or to sign up, go to www.newatlantastadium.com.

Adding Bush? New Orleans safety Rafael Bush, a former practice-squad player with the Falcons, signed an offer sheet from the Falcons, according to his agent and the NFL transactions wire.

The Saints will have until Tuesday to match the offer or lose Bush.

The Saints issued Bush a one-year, $1.4 million tender earlier this offseason. Bush originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina State in 2010.

The Falcons generally don't comment on pending personnel moves.
