Harris was fired after leading the Broncos to a 38-27 record in six seasons as coach. He led the Broncos to their first playoff victory in school history in 2012 and back-to-back district championships the past two seasons.
"There is more to it than winning," Palm Beach Central principal Butch Mondy said. "Maybe winning can be a byproduct of all of the other things we afford our young men.
"We had a conversation and I just think we have a different belief and philosophy of how a high school football program should be run and handled. I won't talk about the conversations that I've had with Coach Harris, but I just think we disagree with our philosophy."
Mondy said he hopes to work with Athletic Director Ron Matella to hire a new coach "as soon as possible." The entire coaching staff was not let go, and Mondy said the new coach will have the choice to retain the current assistants or bring in new ones.
BOYS BASKETBALL
No. 6 Park Vista 66, No. 8 John I. Leonard 57: Ramon Birch scored 16 points and Rashad Grover and Mario Saunders each scored 12, but the Lancers fell to the Cobras (6-2) in Lake Worth.
No. 9 Spanish River 40, Boca Raton 35: Brandon Kenmerer had eight points and 13 rebounds, and Jeff Demezier added 11 rebounds as the Sharks (4-1) edged the Bobcats in Boca Raton.
No. 10 Atlantic 59, Royal Palm Beach 52: Thomas Owens scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Eagles over the Wildcats (4-4) in Royal Palm Beach. Travis Weatherington scored 16 points for Royal Palm.
Wellington 62, Seminole Ridge 35: Aaron Kwiatek had 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Wolverines (4-4) handled the Hawks in Wellington. Miguel Dominguez scored 12 points for Seminole.
Lake Worth 79, West Boca Raton 65: Aaron Horne scored 25 points to lead the Trojans over the Bulls (5-5) in Boca Raton. Maxx Bleecher scored 22 for West Boca.
Forest Hill 71, Olympic Heights 57: Nate Cherizard's 21 points led the Falcons over the Lions (0-8) in Boca Raton. Jaelin Jackson scored 17 points and Eddie Thompson added 15 for Heights.
Pope John Paul 72, Inlet Grove 55: Javante Swinton had 16 points and six rebounds to lead the Eagles (3-3) over the Hurricanes in Boca Raton.
Benjamin 55, John Carroll 48: The Buccaneers (2-6) rode a 28-14 third quarter to a win over the Rams in Palm Beach Gardens. Tyler Kasten scored 22 points in the win.
Summit Christian 58, Wellington Christian 49: Dijoun Farquharson scored 21 points as the Saints defeated the Eagles in Wellington.
Berean Christian 60, Jupiter Christian 49: Dion Novil had 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (5-4) past the Eagles in West Palm Beach.
Boca Raton Christian 72, Hollywood Christian 46: Colin Gray had 26 points and nine rebounds as the Blazers (6-1) won in Boca Raton.
Fort Pierce Westwood 61, Jensen Beach 57: Devon Richardson scored 18 points as the Panthers held off the Falcons in Fort Pierce.
Sebring 58, Clewiston 42: Sherard Hope scored 10 points, but the Tigers (0-5) fell to the Blue Streaks in Clewiston.

No. 9 Pahokee 47, Royal Palm Beach 27: Malaysia Robinson scored 20 points and Moesha Jackson added 12 as the Blue Devils (6-2) routed the Wildcats in Pahokee.
Seminole Ridge 66, Glades Central 33: Kiana Favors had 12 points and 12 rebounds as the Hawks (5-5) rolled past the Raiders in Belle Glade.
Benjamin 47, Jupiter Christian 30: Arden Pettit had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Buccaneers (6-3) over the Eagles in Palm Beach Gardens.
Boca Raton Christian 52, Hollywood Christian 20: McKenzie Ross had 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Blazers (5-1) routed the Eagles in Boca Raton.
