Freshman Texas quarterback Arch Manning, Peyton and Eli Manning's nephew, it set to make more on his last name than some professional NFL players.

Manning, a five-star recruit in 2022 who has only played in two games with the Longhorns, has multiple NIL deals lined up that put his NIL take at $3.2 million.

Manning ranks second in terms of NIL valuation among football players, behind Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. He's fourth overall among all college athletes, behind Bronny James ($5.9 million), Shedeur Sanders ($4 million) and Olivia Dunne ($3.3 million).

Given his earning potential, Manning is slated to make more than San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, who signed a four-year, $3,737,008 contract with the San Francisco 49ers, including a $77,008 signing bonus, $77,008 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $934,252

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has said that Manning did not sign with Texas for the NIL money.

“Everybody is under this assumption that this was an NIL deal for him to come to the University of Texas. It was absolutely not,” said Sarkisian, who addressed Manning’s recruiting while speaking at a Houston Touchdown Club luncheon.
