The Oregon State University athletic department and its multimedia rights holder Beaver Sports Properties have announced a new initiative with Toyota and the Dam Nation Collective to launch an innovative campaign dedicated to the celebration and support of the OSU women’s basketball program.

“Toyota’s involvement and support of our women’s teams and programs is a model for all brands,” stated Sara Elcano, associate athletic director of external operations at Oregon State, according to a release at learfield.com. “With their partnership in our FEARLESS program and as the presenting sponsor of the women’s basketball team this season, this campaign takes them to the next level.”

Toyota serves as the presenting sponsor of both the women’s basketball team and the FEARLESS Campaign, while maintaining year-long involvement across all OSU female athletic programs, as reported by Learfield, the media and technology company with ties to more than 1,200 collegiate institutions, Through this collaboration, each player on the women’s basketball roster is set to become a Toyota-sponsored athlete through the Dam Nation Collective, demonstrating Toyota’s commitment to celebrating the women’s basketball program and providing comprehensive support to Oregon State’s women’s teams.

Members of the Oregon State women’s basketball team were honored by Toyota as official Toyota-sponsored athletes Dec. 31 during OSU’s rivalry series game against Oregon.

“As a long-time supporter of Oregon State Athletics, we’re proud to collaborate with the university and Beaver Sports Properties to support the women’s basketball program and honor the incredible female student-athletes that have, or will someday, call Oregon State home,” said Russ Humberston Jr., general manager of Beaverton Toyota Inc.. “Supporting the local communities where we live and work is at the core of the Toyota mission. When our university students thrive, we all thrive.”

Inspired by the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the FEARLESS program recognizes and honors all past, present and future female student-athletes of Oregon State. The program aims to raise funds for student-athletes across various areas while highlighting and supporting the athletic department’s women’s program.

Beaver Sports Properties is the locally based team of Learfield. All OSU Athletics sponsorships are managed by Beaver Sports Properties, which does not represent student-athletes, but on behalf of the university is actively engaged with brands to maximize their sponsorships when paired with student-athlete NIL.

“Toyota truly values and prioritizes their involvement surrounding our female sports,” said Lucas Motta, general manager of Beaver Sports Properties, according to the Learfield release. “Their desire to support and provide a spotlight on the women’s basketball program showcases what an authentic integrated partnership can look like.”
