The 150,000-square-foot facility is comprised of an arena complex, a full YMCA and conference facilities. The soaring atrium space features a diamond-ground polished concrete slab that was mixed with an integral dark color pigment. Naturally lit by full-height glazing at each end, warmth is added to the space through a generous amount of birchwood paneling and a deep red paint color, drawing the visitor to the main reception area. Double-height interior glazing flanks the atrium, offering expansive views into both arenas, the aquatic center and gymnasium. The arena complex also consists of two ice pads — a 1,952-seat arena and an adjacent auxiliary arena with 144 seats. Nine dedicated change rooms serve the complex.

The YMCA contains an aquatic center, a gymnasium, childcare services, youth spaces, a fitness center, fitness studios and dedicated change rooms. The aquatic and fitness centers feature extensive exterior glazing to allow plentiful natural light. The conference center includes a large community hall and full-service kitchen. Mechanical services are designed so that waste heat generated by the arena refrigeration plant is captured and used to heat portions of the YMCA and conference facilities. The building also features an air-cooled heat pump system, which further reduces energy consumption, while expansive natural lighting creates comfortable, welcoming spaces.
