The Gurnee Park District?fs new Hunt Club Community Center offers abundant opportunities for area residents to directly benefit from the facility's programs and amenities.

Its entry is designed to greet visitors with a sense of energy and excitement. The lobby's main focal point is an impressive 24-foot climbing wall, which accommodates classes and group parties for all ages. An adjacent lounge area, complete with soft seating positioned in front of a glass wall looking into the gymnasium, allows viewers to watch activities taking place on the regulation-size hardwood basketball court.

In response to community members, the new facility incorporates two quality and affordable child-care options: one area designed for children ages 3 months to 9 years is located directly off the main lobby, while the Family Activity Room provides an enriching environment for children to participate in supervised games (including the popular Dance Dance Revolution., with a wall-mounted wide-screen monitor and foot pads built into the floor), arts and crafts, and group activities.

The Community Center's upper level features a 4,000-square-foot fitness area with cardio and resistance equipment, as well as free weights. A 1.12-mile elevated track encircles this level, and abundant windows offer runners and walkers glimpses into the gymnasium below.
