Servus Place was designed to reach the broadest possible range of user demographics — from toddlers to active seniors — while enhancing community wellness through sport and leisure activities. The program incorporates a variety of major competitive components in combination with spontaneous leisure offerings.

Developed in conjunction with an existing 1990s twin ice arena, the facility added a third sheet and introduced twin indoor soccer fields and an indoor gymnasium/ field house to accommodate a variety of dry-land sports. The center also features a full-size competitive swim tank, as well as an aquatic center focused solely on leisure use. In the interest of attracting new families, a large indoor playground for children accompanies a family fitness/wellness center, where adults can pursue weight and cardio training. A family sports lounge, sports equipment store and sports medicine/physiotherapy center round out the program.

A major public concourse running through the entire facility offers a visual link to all major elements, further emphasizing the community feel. The exterior architecture of the facility is focused on welcoming visitors into the facility by emphasizing its family friendly nature.
