The Bill Savage Athletic Complex, located on the Duncanville ISD high school campus, includes a 10,000-seat synthetic turf football stadium and adjoining grass practice fields, a natatorium, baseball and softball fields, and a 12-court tennis facility. Everything from seating, lighting, lockers and water fountains were chosen during collaborative meetings between the architect and the school’s superintendent, facilities director and athletic director.

A key consideration in the design of each piece of the complex was safety of spectators, security of facilities and crowd control. The Sandra Meadows Memorial Arena, named one of the nation’s top-10 places to watch high school basketball by USA Today, features a 2,000-seat competition court, two full-size competition gyms, two physical education gyms, a state-of-the-art sports medicine facility and two weight rooms. In addition, a new field house adjacent to the football stadium houses the football program, as well as a 6,000-square-foot weight room for all sports.

Ranked as the fifth-best high school ballpark in the country by Baseball America magazine, Duncanville Panther Baseball Stadium reflects the design emphasis on spectator comfort through its abundant chair-back seating. In addition, a VIP hospitality room is located adjacent to the press box.
