The Romney Stadium and athletics facility renovation is a multiphase project designed to elevate Utah State University’s football program to the level of programs at other Division I-A schools. The outcome of this ambitious undertaking has been gratifying to alumni, boosters, student-athletes and athletic faculty who revel in the top-notch spaces that reflect the USU community’s deep commitment to their beloved Aggies.

The focus of site improvements was on smoothing the overall flow of the public at the entry, ticket booths, concessions stands and restrooms. Site and circulation improvements include an attractive entry plaza and new entry gates on the south and east sides of the stadium. A ticketing building/concessions area was also added to the south end zone. Both the east and south entries received new restrooms, as well. Attractive, up-to-date signage and high-visibility, classically designed towers make campus wayfinding easy and stand as beacons that generate excitement on game day.

The new 63,589-square-foot Laub Complex is organized on three levels adjacent to the north end zone. The main level includes spaces for home- and visiting-team locker rooms, and a state-of-the-art sports medicine suite that replaces a two-table taping room. Level one also houses equipment/laundry and an elevated courtyard with access to the football field.
