Envisioned as a beacon of hope for the community, the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center of Grand Rapids incorporates a 400-seat performing arts center with a stage that can accommodate a 75-member band, multiple indoor and outdoor worship spaces, and a classroom and conference area for tutoring, mentoring, skills development and job training.

Adjacent property acquisitions, generous construction easements and city land agreements yielded fantastic opportunities for outdoor facilities, including two soccer fields, a softball field, a sand volleyball court, a six-station basketball court doubling as an ice rink in winter, a 400-seat outdoor amphitheater, an outdoor zero-depth water play area, a 300-foot-long hillside waterslide, community gardens, a meditation garden with a water feature, local trail connections, two playgrounds and a fishing pond stocked with perch, bluegill and bass that also serves as an irrigation reservoir.
