Home to Navy football and lacrosse since its completion in 1959, Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium was built as a memorial to the two service branches, with the thousands of memorial bench-back and wall plaques a constant reminder of this fact. With its renovation, the stadium has again taken its place among the nation’s most storied football stadiums.

Great care was taken to honor the traditions and memories of those who have served and those who have fallen, all the while transforming the stadium into a state-of-the-art venue.

The press box, still structurally sound in its single-column design, was completely updated with the addition of a dedicated club level with 140 seats, rest rooms and food service; 16 VIP suites with spectacular views of not only the field but also of historic Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay; and new elevators to give ADA access to accommodate many veterans for whom the stadium was dedicated. A new banquet facility at ground level can be used for school and community events 365 days of the year.

Concourses and the seating bowl also were upgraded. New seating enclosed the two-sided stadium, providing an array of seating types and access for all patrons. Stadium operations systems were upgraded to meet current standards and technology, and the facility received aesthetic updates as well, with a unifying palette reminiscent of navy ships — gray enhanced with the blue and gold of the team’s colors. New and renovated rest rooms and concessions stands provide upgraded service and ADA access.
