The Yawkey Athletics Center is home to Boston College football and the school’s Office of Learning Resources for Student-Athletes (LRSA). As part of a long-range athletic facilities master plan, the four-story structure completes the north end of Alumni Stadium. It features state-of-the-art fitness and training equipment and locker rooms, as well as coaches’ and recruiting offices to support the Eagles football program. The BC Hall of Fame is located at the building’s main entrance.

In addition to the hall of fame, the first floor features a sports medicine facility and locker rooms. A 6,000-squarefoot fitness center and weight room, tiered 65- and 125-person classrooms, and breakout rooms for positional coaching take up most of the second level. The third floor features offices and meeting rooms for coaches and football operations. Also located on this floor and overlooking campus is a central lounge designed to welcome recruits and their families. The top level houses the LRSA, which is available to all Eagle student-athletes. This space includes a computer lab, a study area and six tutorial suites for small-group instruction and one-on-one sessions.

The building’s furnishings incorporate bright fabrics and bold designs, their color scheme derived from the school colors of maroon and gold. These touches also serve to spice up cherry millwork and doors. Warm neutral paint colors were selected as a complementary background for many of the awards and recognitions displayed in the hall of fame.
