Utilized in cardiovascular equipment areas, around jogging tracks and in other program spaces, exterior glass performs triple duty.

Ample glass brings healthful natural light into building interiors, aids in promoting CPTED (crime prevention through environmental design) principles and helps animate building exteriors by showcasing the activity within. On this last point, Brinkley Sargent Architects of Dallas helped ensure that the lively-in-daylight exterior of the Richardson (Texas) Gymnastics Center stayed enlivened in the evening hours by specifying a custom-applied window film depicting three colorful, oversized gymnasts. A truly cost-effective treatment at $6,500, the figures have become the space's signature — even from the inside.
