An East Boston man is accused of pulling an early morning fire alarm at the same Logan airport hotel where news reports say the Pittsburgh Steelers were resting up for last night's AFC Championship game at Gillette Stadium.

Dennis Harrison, 25, was released on bail yesterday after police charged him with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and setting off a false alarm at the Hilton. Police said Harrison was not a guest.

State police spokesman David Procopio said Harrison was found wandering around the hotel after the alarm went off at about 3:40 a.m.

"He drove to the hotel with two friends, but did not get back into the car afterward," Procopio said. "Evidence indicates that Harrison was the only one who entered the hotel and pulled the alarm. Harrison found the car left outside the hotel, but his friends were gone and had taken the keys with them."

Neither Harrison nor a Steelers spokesman could be reached for comment.

Emeka Onwusilikam, 42, of Natick brought his family to the Hilton for the weekend to celebrate his daughter's 10th birthday and his 11th wedding anniversary. He said they had to evacuate their sixth-floor room down a flight of stairs.

"I went back to sleep immediately, but my wife said she was up all night," Onwusilikam said. "We had to go to church in the morning, so she's still cranky."
