As part of an ongoing renovation to Texas A&M's Kyle Field, the entire west side of the stadium was imploded on Saturday. A small crowd gathered to watch the implosion and cheered as the structure fell.

The implosion comes as part of the facility's $450 million makeover. The west side will be rebuilt and will house new suites, a premium area for fans, a Hall of Champions and upgraded broadcast facilities. The project is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2015 season. When finished, it will put Kyle Field's seating capacity at more than 102,500.
