A Michigan community has finally identified the person who has repeatedly pooped in the community pool.

Macomb officials last week said they had identified the resident who had been pooping in the Buckingham Woods community pool.

According to the WWJ 950 News Radio, the Buckingham Recreation Facilities Association said the person responsible was caught on security video and identified as a resident of the neighborhood.

"This member will not be allowed to return to the pool for the remainder of the season," the association said in a letter to residents. "In addition, we are looking at the various options for restitution."

The suspect’s name was not released.

While the association said it was not sure why the resident had been repeatedly using the pool as a toilet, WWJ talked to members of the community who said the person was upset about having to pay a fee to use the pool.

According to the local Fox affiliate serial pooping problems have plagued Michigan communities in the past. In 2014, the Ypsilanti Police Department made contact with an individual who had been pooping on public park slides.

The Buckingham pool will be open for the remainder of the season, now with two guards on deck to observe the facilities.
