The splash pad at Royal Palm Beach Commons Park has been closed for repair of a break in a water line, the village announced Tuesday.

"There was a break in the line, and we've got to get in there," parks and recreation director Lou Recchio said.

The park, at 11600 Poinciana Blvd., features playgrounds, hiking trails, outdoor activities and more. It is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

The village also announced Tuesday it will hold a public meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. to discuss capital improvements for Commons Park.

The meeting will be held at the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center at 100 Sweet Bay Lane.

The discussion will focus on a $250,000 application for a Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) grant to help finance construction of the children's playground facilities at the park.
