A Lake in the Hills Anytime Fitness is operating on reduced hours after a man drove his car through the front of the gym Saturday, the Northwest Herald reported.

At about 7:30 a.m., a 51-year-old man accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake while parking his car and crashed into the entrance of Anytime Fitness at 9521 Ackman Road, the report said.

A photo posted on the gym's Facebook page showed that some of its front windows were shattered and its front door mangled, but no one was injured in the crash, according to the report.

The gym, which usually allows members to enter 24 hours through a security system, was forced to limit its hours after the system was destroyed in the crash, according to a post on the gym's Facebook page.

The gym will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday until the damage is fixed, the post said.
