Louisiana State University held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Marucci Performance Center, a 4,300-square-foot facility that will serve the school’s baseball program. The facility features a 3,500-square-foot weight room, a cardio mezzanine, a locker room for former players, athletic training space and a nutrition station. — lsusports.net

The University of Vermont broke ground on a new Multi-Purpose Center on Saturday, which will include the construction of the new Tarrant Center, a renovation of Gutterson Fieldhouse, and build a three-story shared space between the two. The Multi-Purpose Center will serve student-athletes, but will also serve the broader campus as a hub for recreation, wellness and fitness. — UVMathletics.com

Montana State University has reportedly hit a fundraising milestone as it begins the first phase of its facilities master plan. The school has raised $12 million to fund the construction of a 37,000-square-foot football operations center and to renovate football offices into a student-athlete academic center. The football operations complex is expected to include a new football locker room, meeting space, offices, a weight room area and training and rehab space for all student-athletes. — The Missoulian

West Virginia University announced that a new look is coming to its basketball floor this summer. The sixth court design in WVU Coliseum history was designed after the school underwent a rebranding process with its apparel partner, Nike.
