October 17, 2018, New Orleans, LA – Each year, the Athletic Business Show is packed with fitness experts eager to show off their latest product or some new knowledge with colleagues. This year, Athletic Business Show is teaming up with Stone Creek Health Club & Spa and FITBENCH, a Wisconsin-owned fitness company, to support and promote the Salute Our Soldiers charity campaign.
100% of proceeds will be evenly distributed between three charities: Wounded Warrior Project, Operation Homefront, and Wounded War Heroes.
Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit whose focus is “veterans and service member who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness or wound while serving in the military on or after September 11, 2001.”
Operation Homefront helps "build strong, stable, and secure military families so that they can thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect."
Wounded War Heroes provides therapeutic outdoor experiences to the men and women who have been harmed in combat while serving for our country.
According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, each day, 22 veterans lose their life to PTSD. AB Show attendees are encouraged to do 22 pushups every 22 minutes to promote awareness as well as honoring active and veteran military service members. Participants of the Pushup Challenge will receive an American flag to fly once it is complete.
Attendees with be able to purchase hats donning a Salute Our Soldiers logo offered in a variety of colors and patterns for $22 a piece. Every dollar spent on the hats goes directly to the three charities. Purchase of a hat also enters you for a chance to win a free FITBENCH. The drawing for the FITBENCH winner will be announced on Thanksgiving Day and posted to social media (check @FITBENCH, @stonecreekclubandspa and @athleticbiz).
AB Show is excited to collaborate with Stone Creek and FITBENCH to make this event its best yet! Stone Creek is going to be flying the flags at the club as well as selling hats at their Covington location (1201 Ochsner Blvd.) during the show.
