Minneapolis (April 26, 2017) – Epoch Lacrosse, a U.S. design and technology company that specializes in lacrosse has provided gear to the Ottawa Braves National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) lacrosse team for the 2016- 2017 season. The Ottawa Braves marks the first team Epoch Lacrosse has outfitted and provided gear for in the NAIA.
“Our team at Epoch worked closely with Coach Stevens of the Ottawa Braves to provide his players with the highest quality gear and equipment throughout the season,” said James Miceli, principal at Epoch Lacrosse. “With increased competition at NCAA D1 lacrosse, highly competitive teams like the NAIA fill the void for outstanding athletes, and being able to put top-of-the-line gear into the hands of these high performing athletes before this season’s first game is an honor and something we are truly passionate about.

The NAIA lacrosse championship will take place on May 6, 2017, where two men’s teams will compete for this year’s title. The 2017 championship game will take place at Sirrine Stadium in Greenville, S.C. NAIA lacrosse is comprised of 28 varsity teams all offering athletic scholarships, with eight more committed to fielding teams this fall. While the league is currently in year two of invitational status, in year three the league converts to full championship status.

“The game of lacrosse is growing rapidly and according to an NAIA university president survey, NAIA numbers will increase quickly over the next year competing closely with NCAA DII numbers,” said Ottawa Braves Coach A.J. Stevens. “With companies like Epoch providing our players with world-class gear, we’re able to continue elevating the NAIA and allow our players to perform at their best.”
