The core areas of focus will center on domestic violence advocacy, support for sexually abused children and youth empowerment for disabled children and young adults
The Philadelphia Eagles are teaming up with three new Eagles Care partners this year as part of the team’s ongoing commitment to supporting local non-profits in the Greater Philadelphia Region.
The three partners that the Eagles will collaborate with in 2018 include: Laurel House (Norristown, PA), Philadelphia Children’s Alliance (Philadelphia, PA) and Variety (Worcester, PA).

“Philadelphia Children’s Alliance, like the Eagles, exemplifies the mindset that Philadelphia takes care of its own by working to bring healing and justice to our child victims,” said Chris Kirchner, Executive Director of Philadelphia Children’s Alliance. “Last year, we watched in awe as this team went on to become world champions. It’s that same feeling our police, government and healthcare partners want every child to experience. The Eagles Care initiative, built off of the belief that strong non-profits build strong communities, connects the team with local charitable organizations and works to strengthen each of their footprints in the community. Through these season-long strategic partnerships, the Eagles devote their attention, support and resources to each non-profit to ensure that their impact on the community can be further enhanced.
Heading into its sixth year, the Eagles Care network has seen exponential growth thanks in large part to the positive results it has had on the region. At the end of the season, each non-profit partner becomes an extension of the Eagles Care family where they continue to work closely with the Eagles on community outreach events, while utilizing their newfound strengths to assist future Eagles Care partners. Since establishing the program in 2013, the team has welcomed 23 charitable organizations to the Eagles Care family.
“The Eagles Care partnership has been an amazing opportunity for Ryan’s Case for Smiles,” said Melissa Lusk, Executive Director, Ryan’s Case for Smiles, a 2017 Eagles Care partner. “It has given us the ability to reach more families, volunteers and corporate sponsors, building awareness of our mission. The Eagles have also provided ongoing employee development opportunities that have helped us improve our day-to-day operations and maximize our effort. We are very thankful to have been chosen.”

- Laurel House is a comprehensive domestic violence agency serving individuals, families and communities throughout Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The agency’s name was selected because of the beauty of the laurel, Pennsylvania’s state flower. It represents a victory for people who have taken the courageous first step of reaching out to Laurel House in their efforts to build a violence-free life for themselves and their children. In addition to a 24-hour hotline and shelter, Laurel House offers transitional housing, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, counseling and support groups, children’s programs, law enforcement collaboration, and expanded community education and prevention efforts. - Philadelphia Children’s Alliance is an independent non-profit organization that promotes healing and justice for sexually abused children in Philadelphia.
