WOODSTOCK, Ga. – Aug. 7, 2018 – Internationally recognized strength & conditioning coach and bestselling author Ron McKeefery (Coach Mac) relentlessly practices what he preaches when it comes to hard work. As the vice president of performance and education at PLAE for the past two years, his contagious commitment has benefited coaches and athletes around the world.
“We exist to fuel the dreams of athletes and their coaches,” McKeefery says, referring to PLAE Perform, the company’s rapidly growing division that drives education in athletic performance. “Our goal is to find as many different ways as we can to support them.”
Currently in development, the novel PLAE Select program will provide safe, science-based training programs and resources to high school teams around the world that do not have access to a S&C coach.
Coach Mac also is creating PLAE Academy, a new subscription service that will deliver elite educational content across multiple digital platforms for S&C coaches, performance coaches, personal trainers, sports scientists and fitness professionals.
Another relatively recent responsibility for Coach Mac is managing 28 coaches who are working with the Chinese Olympic Committee to prepare athletes in several sports for performance in the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Among PLAE Perform’s ongoing initiatives are PLAE Labs and xLabs, which are interactive, continuing education workshops held globally on various sports and industry topics to further knowledge and foster collaboration.
Coach Mac also hosts the popular Beyond the Chalk video series that offers a personal, inside glimpse at some of the S&C industry’s most interesting influencers. He oversees the PLAE Perform blog and leads the weekly Iron Game Chalk Talk podcast as well.
In addition, the state-of-the-art PLAE Hard facility, located at the company’s headquarters, delivers innovative training programs and classes for athletes and exercisers, under Coach Mac’s direction.
