Source; SprinturfATLANTA, G.A. - (JUNE 4, 2013) - Sprinturf, the only fully integrated synthetic turf company in North America that manufactures 100 percent of its products in-house and in the USA, today announced that the University of Pennsylvania will once again install a Sprinturf field at its 118-year old Franklin Field Stadium. A leader in Ivy League athletics, UPenn hosted 265 games over the past 10 years on the previous Sprinturf field. Installation of the new Sprinturf field will be complete by fall 2013.

"When historic Franklin Field required replacement of its turf, Sprinturf was chosen because of its past performance and the company's knowledge of our playing surface," says Dr. Michael Diorka, University of Pennsylvania. "Product durability, excellent customer service, and warranty also played a role in our decision. Sprinturf has provided excellence in playing surface for our athletes, field drainage, and appearance, while building a great customer-client relationship."

"Sprinturf is honored that the University of Pennsylvania selected Sprinturf as its synthetic turf provider of choice for the historic Franklin Field Stadium," says Bruce Cheskin, Executive VP, Sprinturf. "When installed in 2004, the Sprinturf Ultrablade System was new to the market. Speaking to its performance characteristics and dependability, the Ultrablade System will once again be installed at Franklin Field."

The UPenn Quakers have seen a tremendous amount of success at Franklin Field Stadium having won 172 of 265 games since 2004 among the sports of field hockey, football, sprint football, and men's & women's lacrosse. Since 2004, these programs have accounted for 12 Ivy League or Collegiate Sprint Football League championships.
