SYRACUSE, N.Y. ... Power management company Eaton today announced that the New England Patriots versus Los Angeles Rams game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Feb. 3 will be the third time that the "Big game" has been illuminated by its Ephesus LED sports lighting and controls system since 2015.
Ephesus LED lighting solution lit the previous games when New England defeated Seattle at University of Phoenix Stadium (now known as State Farm Field) in 2015 and Philadelphia upset New England last February at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Featuring industry-leading control functions, the LED system enhances the viewing experience for spectators while reducing energy use by as much as 75 percent. The 2020 game slated for Hard Rock Stadium in Miami will be the fourth time the game will employ Eaton's Ephesus sports lighting solution.

"It's not a coincidence that the biggest events in sports are being held at venues that feature our award-winning LED sports lighting solutions," said Mike Quijano, director of business development and Ephesus product marketing for Eaton. "Our Ephesus LED sports lighting solutions provide the best lighting for fans in the stadium and those watching at home on high-definition televisions. Additionally, the event producers can enhance the experience by completely darkening the stadium, turning lights on and off with the flick of a switch and creating powerful light shows for the player introductions, National Anthem and halftime show."

Both professional and college football playoff championship selection committees have been choosing stadiums with Eaton's Ephesus LED sports lighting to host their championship games. In addition to this Sunday's game, two recent collegiate football championship games and three of the four college basketball championship games between 2017 and 2020 are also at venues with Eaton's Ephesus LED sports lighting.

Eaton's Ephesus light-emitting diode sports lighting product line provides optimal lighting that illuminates more uniformly on the playing surface and offers an improved stage for players and fans watching live and on high-definition television. The system is easy to install, requires little to no maintenance for years and offers the lowest total operating costs compared to other traditional sports lighting systems.

This Eaton solution continues the rapid acceptance of LED lighting at sports and entertainment venues of all sizes across North America. Hundreds of facilities have made the switch to Eaton's LED sports lighting system, including: U.S Bank Stadium (Vikings); Hard Rock Stadium (Dolphins); PNC Park (Pirates); the United Center (Bulls and Blackhawks) and the historic Martinsville Speedway in Virginia-the first NASCAR track with LED lighting.
