Will present in live on-stage battle & exhibit to tech investors, media

Fort Lauderdale, FL—In just 18 months, upace has expanded from a launch pilot program to implementation at 17 client locations. Negotiations are underway with several new clients involving 100 new facilities, and the company continues to evaluate and improve the technology behind its mobile platform and app. Because of its organic growth, along with the platform’s innovation and effectiveness, upace has been chosen by a panel of judges as one of the world’s leading startups for the PITCH competition at the Collision 2017 tech conference May 2-4 in New Orleans.

“We’re thrilled to be chosen for PITCH. The exposure we’ll get to the participating investors, media and global partners is huge for us,” said upace Founder Rachel Koretsky. “Of course, we believe we’ve got something special—offering the ultimate in convenience and empowering managers with a tool that streamlines operations while helping engage their members—but it’s really encouraging to get this kind of validation.”

With user-friendly features that enable real-time, data-based facility management, mobile app customization and member interactivity, upace has established itself as the preferred technology solution for higher education recreation and fitness centers, YMCAs, JCCs and more. To maintain its leading-edge status, the company recently:
· Designed a new administrative portal with improved UX

· Added capabilities for customizable forms and automation

· Improved data reporting with filters that reveal usage trends by gender, member type, retention, etc.

· Expanded its platform by creating customized apps for two fitness conferences

Upace is currently working on integrating new personal training and events features, plus—for clients with multiple locations—a segmentation tool that will enable them to send push notifications to a specific location’s members.

“It’s part of our mission, not to mention our passion, to constantly reassess our technology and design new tools that will give clients and their members even more functionality and convenience,” Koretsky said.

The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP) and Humble Ventures are sponsoring upace’s Collision 2017 attendance. The tech conference takes place May 2-4 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Upace will exhibit from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on May 2nd.

Upace is the first customizable, two-sided mobile platform that offers real-time data and user interactions that boost usage, retention and operational efficiency. Recreation, fitness and community center managers can remotely and instantly access analytics, communicate directly with their members, and update the app within minutes. Via the app, members can view center occupancy, reserve equipment and sign up for classes and other activities.
