A star high school basketball player has been arrested after it was discovered he was actually 25 years old.

Sidney Bouvier Gilstrap-Portley of Dallas was arrested for posing as a 17-year-old displaced victim of Hurricane Harvey. Gilstrap Portley enrolled as a freshman at Skyline High School under the name Rashun Richardson after the school opened its doors to victims of the massive hurricane.

According to a report from Yahoo Sports, Gilstrap-Portley transferred to Hillcrest High School a few months after having enrolled at Skyline. He played basketball at Hillcrest and also began dating a 14-year-old girl. He was voted the District 11-5A offensive player of the year by coaches.

Gilstrap-Portley played for the Dallas Christian Crusaders of the National Christian College Athletic Association during the 2013-14 season after graduating from North Mesquite High School in 2011. One of his previous coaches recognized him at a tournament and pointed him out to Hillcrest’s head coach.

The Dallas Independent School District released the following statement on the matter:

“This is a unique situation that shows us areas we need to take another look at when we open our doors to students in these situations. Safety is always our top priority, and we are reviewing our policies to strengthen district efforts while still helping those who are in need.”

Gilstrap-Portley has posted bond and faces a charge of tampering with government records. Police are still investigating his relationship with a 14-year-old.
