The Euless Family Life Aquatic & Recreation Center includes both an indoor and an outdoor facility. Located adjacent to an existing senior center and fitness center, the facility needed to accommodate both youths and older adults. The indoor aquatic facility features a recreational pool and play area, restrooms, dressing rooms, equipment rooms and support spaces.

Through the utilization of a passive-ventilation cooling system, roll-up doors and a gas heating system for cooler weather, the facility offers a comfortable environment for users of all ages while minimizing operating costs. The water is 84 degrees, allowing everyone to enjoy the facility together, and radiant-slab heating keeps the pool deck at a consistent 80 degrees.

The durability of materials was a careful choice in the design for both exterior and interior finishes. The design team used burnished block and a non-corrosive coating on the metal.

The project also included construction of new parking areas, sidewalks and decorative fencing, as well as relocation of the existing tennis courts and construction of support buildings for concessions and equipment storage.
