Area / Square Feet: 49,000
Occupancy Date: December 2007

This project reflects the comprehensive interior renovation of a 50,000-square-foot suburban fitness center. In an effort to re-brand the existing facility, state-of-the-art equipment and technology was incorporated, and previous accessibility issues were resolved.

The renovation shaped new areas for cardio and strength training, group cycling, Pilates, racquetball, aquatics, spa services, children’s programs and a café. With outdated aesthetics and disconnected functionality, the multilevel facility also had limited interior sightlines. The renovation produced a harmonious balance between the new and existing elements through strategies such as the use of warm hues that subtly contrast with and accent the cool tones of the fitness center’s existing branded colors.

Interior modifications transform the multilevel areas through complementary materials selection, customized casework, lighting, fixtures and furnishings. A two-story media wall serves as a visual landmark and dynamic connector for individual activities on all floor levels.

The interior features natural stone tiles, performance vinyl flooring, commercial-grade wall coverings, and specialty laminates and acrylics.
