A man has been arrested after threatening a high school superintendent and athletic director in profanity-laced voicemails related to alleged racist jeering at a basketball game.

According to the New Jersey Herald, Emmet S. Weinman, 19, was arrested last week and charged with two counts of third-degree terroristic threats after he left a barrage of voicemails for Wallkill Valley (N.J.) Regional High School administration, threatening athletic director Daryl Jones and saying he wanted to “shoot” and “kill” superintendent David Carr.

Weinman, of Morris Plains, left the voicemails in reaction to an alleged incident that took place at a varsity basketball game between Wallkill Valley and Lenape Valley. The mother of a Lenape player took to social media, admonishing the Wallkill administration for “doing nothing” after she posted video of what she said were racial slurs being yelled from the Wallkill fans. Dickerson claimed in her post that her son Nasir was called a N-word and “monkey throughout the whole game.”

Jones and Carr attended the Wallkill game against Lenape. Carr helped security usher Ashon Dickerson, Nasir’s father, out of the gymnasium after he gave the middle finger to the Wallkill crowd.

Police say Weinman called Jones and Carr "racists" in the voicemails and threatened to "whip the (expletive) crap out of both of you."

Weinman, who notes he is "white" and says he has no association with the school, accused Jones and Carr of "having the audacity to put racists kids on your basketball program," adding that the two administrators "allow your community to (expletive) yell racial (expletive), allow the spectators in the game yell racial (expletive) and just let it go."

Weinman has been released from Sussex County jail pending a court appearance.
