Among Montrose's programming options are a partnership with a local hospital, high school and club swim meets, plus paddleboard classes and other fun activities.
All of this occurs in a district that was originally opposed to a new recreation facility and voted against it in several referendums. However, the new facility now boasts membership of more than 8,200 in a town of 20,000, far exceeding initial expectations.
