Little Caesars Arena in Detroit kicked off a series of grand opening events with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the $836 million complex on Tuesday.

The week-long grand-opening celebration will continue through Sept. 12, with a charity premiere Friday, a free tour for Red Wings and Pistons fans Saturday, the annual Hockeytown 5K Sunday and an inaugural concert on Sept. 12.

mLIVE shared video footage of a walk-through of the new arena, taken after the ribbon-cutting Tuesday. The video shows a wide view of the seating bowl, followed by footage of the indoor β€œmain street” and store fronts lining the interior walkways.

Project designer HOK of St. Louis, Mo., tweeted images of newly unveiled arena interior, as well as a clip of city officials and stakeholders snipping the ceremonial ribbon.

The Red Wing’s will play the first game on the new ice at their preseason opener Sept. 23.
